How to make a stone base?

How easily make an impressive stand with real stones.

Stand prepared the figure in 80mm scale, but the techniques and ideas you can use in any given scale.

1. Przygotowałem prosty drewniany klocek jako piedestał i pomalowałem go czarną farbą. Dodatkowo pomalowałem go matowym lakierem Vallejo. Można przygotować bardziej wymyślny piedestał, zgodnie z moim artykułem How to make a simple but good-looking socket?.

I prepared a simple block of wood as a pedestal and painted it with black paint. In addition, I painted it a matte varnish Vallejo. You can prepare a more elaborate pedestal, according to my article How to make a simple but good-looking socket? .

2. W nogach figurki zamocowałem dwa długie spinacze, które pomogą w późniejszym przymocowaniu jej do podstawki.

The figures put two feet long clip, which will help in the later attached it to the stand.

3. Używając dwuskładnikowego kleju epoksydowego MILLIPUT STANDARD przykleiłem kamienie do podstawki. Czerwone punkty pokazują miejsca, w których zostały nawiercone w podstawce otwory. Umożliwią one późniejsze, solidne przymocowanie figurki dzięki zamocowanych w jej nogach pinach.

Using two part epoxy putty MILLIPUT STANDARD glued stones to the baseThe red dots show the place where they have been drilled holes in the base. These will later, thanks to a strong attachment figures mounted pins in her legs.

4. Przestrzenie pomiędzy kamieniami wypełniłem klejem Wikol bez rozwadniania go. W miejsce nawierconych wcześniej otworów pod figurkę, wcisnąłem spinacze. Ułatwi to na końcu jej montaż, a otwory, nie zostaną przypadkowo zalane klejem.

The spaces between the stones filled with PVA glue without diluting it. In place of the pre-drilled holes for the statue, pressed the clips. This makes it easier at the end of the assembly, and the holes will not be accidentally flooded glue.

5. W wolne przestrzenie wsypałem drobne kamienie. Nadmiar usunąłem.

The free spaces poured small stones. Excess removed.
6. Całą podstawkę obsypałem dokładnie drobnym piaskiem. nadmiar usunąłem.

The entire stand exactly showered with fine sand. excess removed.
7. Przygotowałem mieszankę mocno rozwodnionego kleju typu Wikol i przy pomocy pędzla, pokryłem nią przyklejone prędzej drobne kamyczki i piasek. Ma to za zadanie wzmocnić całą powierzchnię.

8. Pomalowałem bardzo dokładnie całą podstawkę czarnym podkładem Vallejo 73.602, przy pomocy aerografu.

13. Używając dużego, starego pędzla, całą powierzchnię podstawki, pokryłem farbą Celestra Grey (Astronomican Grey) przy pomocy techniki suchego pędzla.

Using a large, old brush the entire surface of the stand, I covered with paint Celestra Grey (Astronomican Grey) using a dry brush technique.
14. Najbardziej wystające powierzchnie kamieni pokryłem farbą White Scar (Skull White). Użyłem techniki suchego pędzla.
