From the workshop... #28

Six months off in the hobby requires explanations :)
Sześć miesięcy przerwy w hobby wymaga kilku wyjaśnień :)

Hello to you again on my blog :) I have not written anything new here for over 6 months. Half a year is a lot of time ... I owe you a few words explaining why this happened.

Witam Was ponownie na moim blogu :) Nie napisałem tutaj niczego nowego od ponad 6 miesięcy. Pół roku to sporo czasu... jestem Wam winien kilka słów wyjaśnień, dlaczego tak się stało.

The first reason for this break is my total burnout in the subject of modeling and painting hobby. I just had to take a break from painting minis. I missed new ideas and I felt general tiredness of the material. As you can see in the photo, I live and intend to return to the hobby. I don't know for how long or as intensely as I used to but I will be here. Unfortunately, the return and the last few days spent painting the new figurine brought back my neck pain problems. Despite my  increased physical activity and taking care of the condition for many months, I am not able to get around  of this problem ...

The second reason for silence on the blog is a new hobby that I have already mentioned - aquaristics. Aquascaping or the creation of underwater landscapes really drew me. Inwardly, it has a lot to do with the creation of scenic bases for figurines. Knowledge gained sooner when working on models (like the rules of bases composition) really came in handy here. It's been a year since from the start of my first aquarium, so I can say that I have explored the subject a bit. Now I will mature in this direction but not so intensively :)

Creating closed, independent from the environment ecosystems in the jar is also fun :)
Tworzenie zamkniętych, niezależnych od otoczenia ekosystemów w słoiku to też fajna zabawa :)

Over the last months, however, I have accumulated some models that I intend to review for you in the near future.

And one interesting thing. Training set from Nuts Planet. Containing a bust, additional learning elements, and a 4.5 hour instructional video placed on a pendrive. Interesting solution.

I jedna ciekawa rzecz.

To remind yourself how a brush is holding, activates the airbrush, vacuum the paints, make a simple base, etc. ... I started work on the perfect figurine from Andrea Miniatures - "Drakkar Rider (AD 750)" on the 54mm scale. Below is a WIP picture, and of course I'm preparing "Step by Step" for you from the process of working on this model.

Poniżej zdjęcie WIP, no i oczywiście szykuję dla Was "Step by Step" z procesu pracy nad tym modelem.

I hope you will forgive me for this absence for several months and you will continue to follow my blog. I created it as my private chronicle but also with a view to being a kind of knowledge base for beginners as well as people delving into the subject of our hobby. Judging by the fairly decent number of blog views during the last 6 months of inactivity, my plan worked.

Therefore, I return to work!
Zatem wracam do pracy!

Have fun painting,
Michał "ARBAL" Walczak
