Magnifying Glasses - NEO TOOLS

After returning to the hobby after a long break, I encountered a rather significant problem. I discovered that, unfortunately, eyesight is not what it used to be :) I noticed that I have a huge problem when working with objects very close to the eyes. I am unable to sharpen the image when working with the model close to the face. Certainly this is partly due to the eyes becoming accustomed to such work. However, I consulted it with an ophthalmologist and heard that at this age it is already like that ... Yes, I am almost 45 years old :) Buy magnifying glasses they said. Well, I bought it :)

Po powrocie do hobby po dłuższej przerwie, napotkałem pewien dość znaczący problem. Odkryłem, że niestety ale wzrok już nie ten co kiedyś :) Zauważyłem, że mam ogromny problem przy pracy z obiektami bardzo blisko oczu. Nie jestem w stanie wyostrzyć obrazu przy pracy z modelem blisko twarzy. Z pewnością jest to częściowo spowodowane odzwyczajeniem oczu od takiej pracy. Skonsultowałem to jednak z okulistą no i usłyszałem, że w tym wieku już tak jest... Tak mam już prawie 45 lat :) Kup okulary powiększające mówili. No to kupiłem :)

I immediately planned to buy the Tamiya magnifying glasses recommended by many people. Unfortunately, at the time of writing this article, the purchase of these glasses borders on a miracle. So I searched the largest Polish auction site and the way of elimination I chose glasses from Neo Tools. They cost 42 PLN (around 9 EURO) with shipping! I decided to take a chance. It's not a huge investment to see if it makes sense at all.

Planowałem odrazu zakup polecanych przez wiele osób okularów powiększających firmy Tamiya. Niestety w chwili pisania tego artykułu, zakup tych okularów graniczy z cudem. Przeszukałem więc największy, polski portal aukcyjny i droga eliminacji wybrałem okulary filrmy Neo Tools. Kosztowały 42zł wraz z przesyłką! Postanowiłem zaryzykować. nie jest to wielka inwestycja, żeby wogóle sprawdzić czy ma to sens.

As I thought, for the price I couldn't expect super high quality. However, I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised. It doesn't smell like the cheapest Chinese product here. It's bearable. There are no sharp, unfinished edges.

Tak jak myślałem za tą cenę nie mogłem oczekiwać super wysokiej jakości wykonania. Muszę jednak przyznać, że miło się zaskoczyłem. Nie pachnie tu najtańszym chińskim produktem. Jest znośnie. Nie ma ostrych, niewykończonych krawędzi.

Five Lenses.

The set includes five lenses with different magnifications (1.0x 1.5x 2.0x 2.5x 3.5x). They are made of plastic. During the work you have to choose the right value for yourself. So that you don't tilt your head unnecessarily, and that the image is sharp and enlarged. This will result in reducing neck pain if you are struggling with such a problem.

W zestawie otrzymujemy pięć soczewek o różnych powiększeniach (1.0x 1.5x 2.0x 2.5x 3.5x). Są one wykonane z plastiku. W czasie pracy musicie dobrać odpowiednią wartość dla siebie. Tak aby niepotrzebnie nie pochylać głowy, a żeby obraz był ostry i powiekszony. Zaowocuje to zmiejszeniem bólu karku jeśli borykacie się z takim problemem.

The glasses have an added "soft" element in the forehead area. Unfortunately, it's not soft :) The idea was good, but this element is definitely too hard. The temples are foldable, which makes it easy to store the glasses. Unfortunately, it must be honestly said that these temples compress the head terribly. However, I've noticed that I personally don't wear these glasses all the time I'm painting. I only wear them when I need to work with details that I can't focus on. Frequent removal of glasses means that pressing the earpieces is not too problematic for me, but I warn you :)

Okulary mają dodany "miękki" element w okolicach czoła. Niestety nie jest on miękki :) Zamysł był dobry ale ten element jest zdecydowanie za twardy. Zauszniki są składane co ułatwia przechowywanie okularów. Niestety trzeba szczerze powiedzieć, że te zauszniki strasznie uciskaja głowę. Zauważyłem jednak, że osobiście nie uzywam tych okularów przez cały czas malowanie. Zakładam je tylko kiedy potrzebuję pracować z detalami, na których nie moge wyostrzyć wzroku. Częste ściąganie okularów powoduje więc, że uciskanie zausnzików nie jest dla mnie zbyt problematyczne ale ostrzegam Was :)

"Soft" element.

The glasses are equipped with LED lighting. It's powered by two AAA batteries. Personally, I don't plan to use this option.

Okulary sa wyposażone w oświetlenie LED. Zasilane jest ono dwiema bateriami AAA. Osobiście nie planuje używać tej opcji.

The great advantage of the construction of these glasses is the ability to adjust the height and angle of the lenses. This is very important to me personally because I have been wearing standard glasses since I was a child. For this reason, I was also looking for a model of magnifying glasses that would not collide with my glasses. As you can see in the photo, the lenses are far from the eyes. This sometimes causes a problem when we have a lamp at the height of the forehead. It may happen that we hit the glasses on the lamp.

Dużą zaleta konstrukcji tych okularów jest możliwość regulacji wysokości i kąta pochylenia soczewek. Ma to dla mnie osobiście duże znaczenie ponieważ od dziecka noszę standardowe okulary. Z tego powodu szukałem więc też modelu okularów powiększających, które nie będa kolidowały z moimi okularami. Jak widzicie na zdjęciu soczewki są oddalone od oczu. Powoduje to czasem problem kiedy mamy lampę na wysokosci czoła. Może zdażyć się, że uderzymy okularami  w lampę.

A few years ago I heard from a friend how great these magnifying glasses are and how they make work easier. I resisted buying them. They were supposed to help me with two things:

- problem with sharpening the image when being close to the model

- neck pain.

And now I have to admit he was right. The glasses helped with both problems. I really recommend you try it. Even such a cheap product as shown by me does the job!

Już kilka lat wysłuchiwałem od znajomego jakie to okulary powiększające sa super i jak ułatwiają pracę. Broniłem sie przed zakupem straszliwie. Miały pomóc mi z dwoma rzeczami:

- problem z wyostrzeniem obrazu będąc blisko modelu

- bóle karku.

I teraz muszę mu przyznać rację. Okulary pomogły z obydwoma problemami. Naprawdę polecam Wam spróbować. Nawet tak tani produkt jak pokazany przeze mnie robi robotę!
