Framed LOTR Diorama (Part 4)
Prace nad dioramą posuwają się do przodu. Muszę przyznać, że praca nad tym projektem sprawia mi niesamowita frajdę. Jest to coś całkowicie innego niż malowanie figurek. Bardzo Wam polecam taką formę "zabawy" :)

At a later stage of work, I wrapped the entire box so that it was not plastic. I used 2mm oak boards.
Na dalszym etapie prac zająłem się oklejeniem całego pudełka tak aby nie było plastikowe. Wykorzystałem 2mm deski dębowe.
I used double-sided foam adhesive tape to stick it on.
Do przyklejenia użyłem dwustronnej, piankowej taśmy klejącej.
I filled and sanded the joints and the corners. Ultimately, I will probably paint the whole thing with matte black paint.
Łączenia a rogach poszpachlowałem i wyszlifowałem. Ostatecznie pomaluje zapewne całość matową czarną farbą.
I returned to the diorama. I started thinking about the details. In the past I've printed a lot of small elements up to a scale of 10 mm. I was going to use them for another project, but some of them will fit perfectly here.
Wróciłem do dioramy. Zacząłem myśleć nad detalami. Wydrukowałem kiedyś sporo małych elementów do skali 10mm. Zamierzałem je użyć do innego projektu ale część z nich idealnie będzie tu pasować.
I started adding details to the diorama. I also placed figures to check the entire composition.
Zacząłem umieszczać detale na dioramie. Ustawiłem też figurki aby sprawdzić całą kompozycje.
I added pieces of chain and weapons cut from failed figure prints. I added more rubble in many places.
Dodałem kawałki łańcucha oraz bronie odcięte z nieudanych wydruków figurek. Dosypałem więcej gruzu w wielu miejscach.
I considered the "physical" work as finished. I applied black Vallejo Surface Primer using an airbrush. I wanted to apply the foundation very carefully into every nook and cranny. The airbrush was perfect for this purpose. Yes, it was more time-consuming than using spray primer. The airbrush primer had another advantage - it did not dissolve the Styrodur.
Uznałem pracę "fizyczne" za skończone. Naniosłem czarny podkład Vallejo Surface Primer za pomocą aerografu. Chciałem bardzo dokładnie nanieść podkład w każdy zakamarek. Do tego celu aerograf nadał się idealnie. Owszem było to bardziej pracochłonne niż użycie podkładu w sprayu. Podkład z aerografu miał jeszcze jedną zaletę, nie rozpuścił styroduru.
I added gray Green Stuff World Surface Primer with an airbrush vertically from above.
Dodałem szary Green Stuff World Surface Primer aerografem pionowo z góry.
Finally, I added white Green Stuff World Surface Primer to bring out all the details. Below is a photo in daylight. The effects were satisfactory for me. Everything finally created one piece.
Ostatecznie dodałem biały Green Stuff World Surface Primer aby wydobyć wszystkie szczegóły. Poniżej zdjęcie w dziennym świetle. Efekty był dla mnie zadowalający. Wszystko stworzyło wreszcie jedną całość.
I put the diorama aside for a few days. I watched her and thought about what colors to use. The foundation itself looked very good IMO. I decided to use Army Painter Speedpaint 2.0 as filters. I didn't want to paint over the primer but change its shade in several areas of the diorama. Kind of like the slapchop technique.
Odstawiłem dioramę na kilka dni. Obserwowałem ją i myślałem jakie kolory zastosować. Sam podkład wyglądał już IMO bardzo dobrze. Postanowiłem użyć farb Army Painter Speedpaint 2.0 jako filtry. Nie chciałem zamalować podkładu ale zmienić jego odcień w kilku obszarach dioramy. Coś jakby technika Slapchop.
The paints worked perfectly. You can see the first effects in the lower right corner of the diorama. On this occasion, I tested new brushes from REBEL.pl.
Farby spisały się idealnie. Pierwsze efekty widzicie w prawym dolnym rogu dioramy. Przy tej okazji przetestowałem nowe pędzle od REBEL.pl.
Unfortunately, when removing the painter's tape that was supposed to protect the frame, part of the black, thin surface came off. To fix it, I glued thin veneer onto the frame. Later he will paint it black.
Niestety odklejając taśmę malarską, która miała zabezpieczyć ramkę, oderwała się cześć okleiny. Aby to naprawić nakleiłem na ramkę cienki fornir. Później pomaluje go na czarno.
I moved on to drybrushing. I used 3 shades of gray from the Green Stuff World - Rock&Stones paint set. I tested the new brushes from REBEL.pl. again.
Przeszedłem do drybrushu. Użyłem 3 odcieni szarości z zestawu farb od Green Stuff World - Rock&Stones. Ponownie przetestowałem nowe pędzle od REBEL.pl.
I painted the stalactites in a different color, also using Army Painter Speedpaint 2.0.
Pomalowałem stalaktyty na odmienny kolor również używając farb Army Painter Speedpaint 2.0.
All I had left to do was work on the details. A lot of work, but I decided to devote time to it. Highlighting each edge, painting the damages, blacklining... All this to bring out the highest possible contrast.
Pozostało mi już tylko popracować nad detalami. Sporo pracy ale postanowiłem poświęcić na to czas. Krawędziowanie każdej krawędzi, domalowanie zniszczeń, blacklining... Wszystko po to aby wydobyć jak największy kontrast.
I hope you can now see this project as one piece. I still have a few ideas and things that I need to finish and I want to move on to painting the figurines :) With the figurines, these dungeons will come to life :) As always, I'm waiting for all your comments and ideas.
Mam nadzieję, że widzicie już teraz całościowo ten projekt. Mam jeszcze kilka pomysłów i rzeczy które muszę skończyć i chce już przejść do malowania figurek :) Z figurkami, te lochy zaczną żyć :) Jak zawsze czekam na wasze wszelkie uwagi i pomysły.
