HeroQuest - How to paint dungeon doors?
In this post I will focus on 21 dungeon doors models. I tried to paint everything as quickly as possible, but in good quality for board game models. The kids were waiting to play :)

DRZWI
Doors are one of the most important terrain elements in HeroQuest. So it's worth spending some time on them to make them look nice. But also not too much time, so as not to spend too much time on them :) I washed all models in warm soapy water. I advise you not to skip this step. The models are slightly oily and sometimes it may be difficult to apply paint to them.
Drzwi są jednym z najważniejszych elementów terenu w grze HeroQuest. Warto więc poświęcić im troche czasu aby wyglądały ładnie. Ale też nie za dużo czasu, aby zbyt długo nad nimi nie sziedzieć :) Wszystkie modele umyłem w ciepłej wodzie z mydłem. Radzę Wam nie pomijać tego kroku. Modele są lekko tłuste i czasem możę być probelm z nałożeniem na nie farby.
I used black primer and an airbrush to prepare all the open doors models. You can feel free to use black spray primer. I already had a dirty airbrush so I took advantage of the opportunity :)
Użyłem czarnego podkładu i aerografu do przygotowania wszystkich modeli otwartych drzwi. Możecie śmiało użyć czarnego podkładu w sprayu. Miałem już brudny aerograf więc wykorzystałem okazję :)
For the closed doors, I first applied a brown primer from the airbrush.
W przypadku drzwi zamkniętych, najpierw zastosowałem brązowy podkład z aerografu.
I painted the remaining part of the closed door, i.e. the stones, with black primer. You don't have to be super precise here. At the same time, you can add delicate, black stains on the boards.
Pozostałą część zamkniętych drzwi, czyli kamienie, pomalowałem czarnym podkładem. Nie trzeba być tutaj super dokładnym. Przy tej samej okazji można dodać delikatne, czarne zabrudzenia desek.

I also added other, darker shades of brown with an airbrush.

Using the Dry Brush technique, I brightened all the stone elements.

I used the Dry brush technique to brighten the wooden doors again. This way the wood texture will be more visible.
Ponownie techniką Dry brush rozjaśniłem drewniane drzwi. W ten sposób będzie lepiej widoczna faktura drewna.
I highlighted some stones and floor elements with a very light shade of gray using Dry brush.
Bardzo jasnym odcieniem szarości rozjaśniłem ponownie poprzez Dry brush, niektóre kamienie i elementy podłogi.
I highlighted the stones again, but only the highest ones above the door. I used almost white paint.
Kolejny raz rozjasniłem kamieenie ale już tylko te najwyżej położone nad drzwiami. Użyłem prawie białej farby.
I also painted all the metal fittings and aged them with a black wash. As you probably noticed, there are some kind of vines or plants on the stones. I really don't like this. This conflicts with my idea of dark dungeons. For this reason, I decided not to paint these elements green.
Pomalowałem również wszystkie metalowe okucia i postarzałem je czarnym washem. Jak zapewne zauważyliście na kamienniach jest coś w rodzaju pnącza, roślin. Strasznie mi się to nie podoba. Gryzie się to z moim wyobrażeniem mrocznych lochów. Z tego powodu postanowiłem nie malować tych elementów na zielono.
Wszystkie modele zabezpieczyłem matowym lakierem.
